Swamp White Oak Tree #605

Quercus bicolor

Tree Description:

Swap white oak trees are native to Illinois and do well with moist soil conditions. Swamp white oaks have peeling bark which is common on younger oak trees. The leaves on swamp white oaks are dark green on top and are silvery-white on the underside. Oak trees are a keystone species, meaning they are trees that entire ecosystems depend on for survival and habitat.
