Tree Description:
The Scotch pine is native to Europe and Asia and is the national tree of Scotland. Mature Scotch pine trees can grow up to 115 feet tall and live up to 700 years. The bark of Scotch pine trees is a red orange towards the crown of the tree and brown towards the base. Scotch pine trees are not recommended for planting in the Midwest as they are susceptible to several diseases and insect problems.
