Tree Description:
Magnolias are a diverse family of flowering trees ranging from 15-foot shrubs to over eighty feet in height. Magnolias are known for their large fragrant flowers that bloom in early spring before their leaves emerge. The leaves on Magnolia trees are glossy and feel leathery to the touch. Although the flowers on Magnolia trees are very fragrant, the roots of Magnolia trees smell like lemons.
