Tree Description:

Freeman’s maple is a hybrid of red maple and silver maple and produces beautiful red-orange leaves in the fall. The Freeman’s maple has strong branch attachment from the red maple, and is a fast grower like the silver maple. The Freeman’s maple is named after Oliver M. Freeman of the U.S. National Arboretum who first hybridized the two species in 1933. Mature Freeman’s maple trees can grow up to 60 feet tall.
